Overview

The CZGY LHP Series Temperature and Humidity Controlled Incubator is an engineered environmental simulation system designed for precise, long-term maintenance of biological, pharmaceutical, and material samples under tightly regulated thermal and hygroscopic conditions. Utilizing independent PID-controlled heating and humidification loops—combined with compressor-based active cooling—the LHP incubator delivers stable operation across its full operational envelope (0–60 °C, 50–90 %RH). Its air-jacketed thermal architecture ensures rapid temperature recovery after door openings, while the external humidification reservoir minimizes internal condensation and simplifies routine maintenance. The unit meets fundamental requirements for stability testing per ICH Q1A(R2), accelerated aging per ASTM D4332, and microbiological growth support in compliance with ISO 13408-1 and USP . It is not intended for sterile processing or aseptic manufacturing but serves as a validated platform for non-sterile stability studies, raw material qualification, packaging integrity assessment, and textile/fabric conditioning per AATCC TM186.

Key Features

  • Air-jacketed heating system with dual-wall insulation (silica-alumina board) for uniform thermal distribution and low energy consumption
  • Compressor-driven refrigeration module enabling active cooling down to 0 °C—even under high-humidity conditions
  • Triple-layer tempered double-glazed observation window minimizing thermal bridging and condensation
  • Stainless steel interior chamber (304 grade) with seamless welded corners and rounded edges for cleanability and corrosion resistance
  • External humidification tank (4 L standard; optional 15 L auto-refill system with dry-run protection)
  • 7-inch true-color touchscreen HMI with programmable logic: up to 30 multi-step cycles, day/night mode, timer function (0–9999 min/h), and real-time trend logging
  • Independent alarm circuits for overtemperature, underhumidity, door ajar, compressor fault, and water shortage
  • Modular stackable configuration available (e.g., three-tier 130 L units) to optimize lab floor space without compromising individual chamber control

Sample Compatibility & Compliance

The LHP series accommodates Petri dishes, multi-well plates, flasks, vials, and bulk packaging specimens up to 1000 L total volume. Chamber dimensions are configurable—including custom inner cavity sizes—to meet application-specific loading requirements. All models comply with electrical safety standards IEC 61010-1 and EMC directive 2014/30/EU. Optional GPRS-enabled SMS alerting supports remote monitoring in unattended environments. Data logging (via USB export or optional embedded memory) enables retrospective review aligned with GLP documentation practices. While not 21 CFR Part 11 compliant out-of-the-box, audit trail functionality can be implemented via third-party validated software when paired with the optional data storage module.

Software & Data Management

The integrated controller firmware supports time-stamped parameter logging at user-defined intervals (1 min to 60 min resolution). Export formats include CSV and PDF reports compatible with LIMS integration. Optional embedded printer provides hard-copy traceability for critical stability runs. Firmware updates are performed via USB interface; version history and calibration logs are retained in non-volatile memory. For regulated environments, optional validation packages (IQ/OQ documentation templates) are available upon request to support installation and operational qualification per Annex 15 and WHO TRS 986.

Applications

  • Pharmaceutical stability testing (ICH Q5C, Q1A–Q1E) for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and finished dosage forms
  • Microbial growth promotion testing per USP and using controlled RH gradients
  • Textile and polymer conditioning per ISO 139 and ASTM D1776
  • Food packaging shelf-life modeling under accelerated humidity stress
  • Seed germination and plant tissue culture pre-acclimatization protocols
  • Accelerated corrosion testing of metallic components in high-RH environments
  • Raw material aging studies for adhesives, coatings, and composite resins

FAQ

What is the maximum allowable ambient temperature for continuous operation?
The LHP series is rated for ambient temperatures up to 30 °C. Operation above this requires derating of maximum setpoint temperature and may reduce compressor service life.
Can the incubator maintain 0 °C with 90 %RH simultaneously?
No. At sub-10 °C setpoints, humidity control is limited to ≤70 %RH due to condensation risk on internal sensors and surfaces.
Is the stainless steel chamber electropolished?
Standard chambers use brushed 304 stainless steel. Electropolished finish is available as a factory option for enhanced cleanability in high-bioburden applications.
Does the unit support external data acquisition via RS485 or Ethernet?
RS485 Modbus RTU interface is standard; Ethernet (TCP/IP) and OPC UA connectivity are available via optional communication modules.
What validation documentation is included with shipment?
Each unit ships with Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) report, calibration certificate for temperature and humidity sensors (traceable to NIM), and mechanical drawings. IQ/OQ protocol templates are provided separately upon request.
